Trading as ScottishPower Metering Services, we help energy suppliers throughout the UK fulfil their metering obligations in the most efficient manner. For this purpose, we supply the following services in Non-Half Hourly meter operations and data collection.

In meter operations we provide installation, asset provision, maintenance and data management. Credit and prepayment options are included.

Data retrieval, processing and aggregation

In data retrieval and processing, we carry out readings on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual basis, depending on the supplier and customer needs. We also undertake one-off or multiple irregular reads.

A specialist area is electricity data aggregation, where we provide a suite of reports to allow all parties to cleanse data or take advantage of other services such as special reads.

Appointments and queries

We operate a real-time appointment booking system. Our Clerical Teams handle data queries quickly and effectively. In addition, we offer services to improve data quality and settlement performance, for example through must-inspect and must-be-read policies or opening and customer-own reads.

The electricity markets governing body Elexon has registered Dataserve as an accredited agent. We are an Ofgem-registered gas meter reading company and Ofgem-approved meter installer, and are Gas Safe registered.
